This first model is actualy a spiral however you can not tell from the shot. I like this shot the best because it has a interesting perspective as far as deph perception goes.  The spiral represents rythium. because to me the spiral is remenisant to the techno dance raves seen in "Modulations: Cinema for the Ear" because of how the beets make you dance.

This next model is one of my favorites. It represents structure. Particularly the city complex structure. Because of how all of the city blocks are piled apon one another.  This relates to Modulations: Cinema for the Ear In the way that Brithish jungle techno makes one feel as if they are part of an urban structure sicioty

This model represents rythim and how people all have their win dance to the beat. Because of their humanoid structure.  It is obious how it realtes to Modulations: Cinema for the Ear.

This construct represents Melody. Particularly in the way "electronic music" has become intertwine within our culture. The copper is symbolic of the electronic element in todays music while the silver represents the old style of music and how ti still holds a large part in todays musical culture. Eletronic music as see in Modulations: Cinema for the Ear.

This represents melody. And how the sound waves modulate in the way we perceive them.

When i compare my models to everyone else's i realize htat they are quite small. I believe this is due in part to my past as a modlist. This prior hoby has most likely left me micro-minded

Weeklyblog W2 3/3 SeaTurtle Finished product.

This project started as as sketch before i arived at UNM. This week it has came to frutation in the form of this negative space illustration. It was a good way to study the use of lines, presence and absence of space. Made in illustrator.

Weeklyblog W2 2/3 YinYang Sketch.

The inspiration for this peace was Yin&Yang, Good and Evil. Angel and Demon. The proportions aren't perfect but that cam be fixed in program. I am not sure how the mouths will turn out and may still be tweaked in program. As always the sketch is destine for a complex vector illustration. Maybe i will import it into photoshop and use some of my new skillset learned in class.

Weeklyblog W2 1/3 New Canvis New medium.

The above silhouette is one of a long board. More particulary a Pinner DH. Yesterday i ordered 2 blank unfinished decks. I intended to paint each of them in some unique way. I prefer not to get store purchased commercial designs. So instead i make my own. I'm excited for the project as there is nothing more exelerating than a new cavis and a new medium. For the designs i am thinking about drawing form the "Evil Empire America" them and Sea creatures. Maybe it would be posable to do the design digitally... Will investigate further later.

This weeks sketch is an angler fish. I have a few muses that i obsess over the latest being angler fish the prior being bees, turtles, and crows. I will undoubtedly explore the way to draw angler fish more in def later however this is the current product of my recent toils. What makes the sketch significant is its use of prospective in a irregular object shape. I have never taken a formal drawing course and everything on paper i do is from self study. Sence i started drawing 5 months ago the one thing that seemd to foil me in my efforts has ben prosepctive. It has ben a constant roadblock on my artistic trail. However now I feel that greater things wait ahead for me as i pass this once daunting obstical.

Photoshop assignment. With symphonists!

My first one with an emphasis on composition.  I think the light behind the tower gives a verry interesting way to draw the eye to the tower.

This is a folow up on the Leaf hear insperation. I believe that the end result conveys a heat accurately.  Tools used in this picture were the paintbucket, free transform, clonestamp, layer masks, and the curves layer. The curves layer gives the leaf the rich color i was looking for out of a photoshop enhanced picture.

Its a pig in a lake. I probably put to much effort into this picture than I should have. But who is going to fault me for working hard.
Overall I feel this is a very good way of getting my feet wet in Ihotoshop after having limited experience with the ucrrent CS and more technical knowledge than artistic experience.

ROBOTIC INSPIRATION.

A gorgeous animation by James Lee. Tarboy should be noted for its use of color, soundtrack, and charter design. Personally i found the corporate oppressive atmosphere to be very rich in charter. In a bleak sort of way. This is a must watch for any artist searching for inspiration through other artists work.
